$1 Under Budget

Working with budgets is a big part of our project design, and we understand that projects have to fit within your means and budget, even if we have to get a little creative to make everything happen! This homeowner in Chesapeake set a budget of $15,000 and emphasized the need to stay at that number – so, along with creating a beautiful outdoor space for her, that was at the top of our minds!

Here’s how it turned out.

Before we could get started with the installation, we had some demolition to do. Specifically, we tore out the old deck, which had been falling apart for quite some time. In order to lead down to the new patio, we built a small landing along with stone steps that would allow easy access to the new space.

The actual project came in two parts: an 18×21 patio with an adjacent 14-foot circle for a fire pit, providing space to hang out. There is plenty of room for some additional outdoor furniture, and overall the space just flowed better.

So how did we do on the budget? That’s the best news of all! At a final cost of $14,999 we came in exactly one dollar under budget and needless to say that all of us were thrilled! Check out the photos and video of the final space below.
