The Perfect Small Space in Eagle Harbor

We love building big, beautiful spaces, but sometimes it’s the simple, cozy ones that meet a homeowner’s needs exactly. This smaller project in the Eagle Harbor neighborhood of Carrollton is just that – a quiet space to entertain a few friends or just enjoy as the evenings get cooler and the backyard blooms continue to grow.

As with any project, no matter the size, there was a challenge: with no door, how would they enjoy their space?

After playing around with different designs, we worked with a carpenter to add a patio door to the landing, which will also feature their grill for backyard cookouts. We lit up the patio area with outdoor lighting on the steps and wall.

In the meantime, there were a few other small improvements: more drainage to keep water away from the house, and landscaping that features a magnolia tree. Outdoor living doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive – and this space proves that it can still be beautiful!
