We are working with Wayne Harbin Builders in Williamsburg, a company that builds beautiful custom homes in the area. We work with them to provide landscaping, install water features, and making the outside look as incredible as the inside will when the homeowners step into their new house. In this Ford’s Colony home, we did a pathway and landscaping in front with lighting as well as a patio and steps in the back.

The front will form a nice, even hedge with a variety of plants, including roses and hibiscus. In the back is a place to set up a grill and a smoker, with a unique pathway that leads toward the shed instead of the driveway which perfectly fits the homeowner’s needs versus a traditional setup. Along the path we added puck lights to show the way back home.

The backyard needed some serious grading changes, and we tackled the problem in a pretty different way to make sure there is no settling and shifting over time. Along the way we had to work with regulations from James City County, the homeowner’s association, and more! There was a lot of extra elements that could have complicated the process, but we were able to handle it with workarounds and a whole lot of flair.
