We faced some pretty big obstacles at this house in the heart of the Ford’s Colony Williamsburg neighborhood, and we had to come up with answers. Here’s what we did…
First, we dealt with the sloped yard that’s typical of Williamsburg homes with some grading and landscaping, and we built a path leading to the backyard that means there will be a much smaller imprint on the yard as we work.
Boulder stairs were carved into the hillside to lead the homeowners down to all the parts of their property, and a water feature is going in next to add beauty winding down through the space. For final touches, we added a raised-bed herb garden at the top of the space, a special request that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
